Sales of Black and Coloured Sheep in Both Islands

January is the month for the sale and purchase of naturally coloured sheep in New Zealand.

The North Island sale takes place on Saturday 11 January 2025, at the Dannevirke Showgrounds. See our earlier blog post for more information.

The South Island sale will take place two weeks later, on Saturday 25 January, at the Southern Canterbury Showgrounds, 26 Hakataramea Highway, Waimate. Sheep need to be penned by 9am, with viewing starting at 10.30am. The sale proper starts at midday, and there will be a post sale field day and barbecue.
