The purpose of this meeting is for BCSBA…
North Island BCSBA Sheep Sale Catalogue now available!
The catalogue of sheep for sale in the North Island Black and Coloured Sheep Sale is only a few days away (January 13th) at Dannevirke Showgrounds! We’ve finished putting together the catalogue and it’s available on the Event Page for you to view and download.
There is a good lineup of 48 quality sheep on offer including:
13 x MA ewes
12 x 2-tooth ewes
16 x ewe lambs
2 x MA rams
5 x 2-tooth rams
Purebred animals available include Romney, English Leicester, and Corriedale ewes, lambs, and rams. There are also crossbreds up for sale – these have been bred for specific purposes and could make a nice addition to your commercial flock! Some of the crosses include the ever-popular Romney/Corriedale, as well as some special-purpose breeds such as Wensleydale, Finn, and Suffolk.
Members of BCSBANZ have been breeding quality coloured sheep since the early 1970s and their animals must pass inspection to be offered in this sale – so if you want animals that can produce quality meat, wool, and sheepskins while also looking great in the paddock, this is your chance.
If you’re in the North Island and looking to add to your flock prior to tupping, come along, meet the vendors, have a sausage, and maybe go home with something special!
Buyer registration and viewing starts at 10:30am, sale starts at 11:45am.
The catalogue can be viewed and downloaded from the North Island Sale of Sheep Event Page. It prints as A4 by default but there are instructions on the page for how to print as an A5 booklet if you prefer.
