DESCRIPTION:The Mid-Canterbury branch of the BCSBA is hosting an open day with the theme of preparing your fleeces before and after shearing\, and how to look after your precious fleeces once shorn \n\nCrutching your sheep and keeping them clean all year round.\nAvoiding shed stain by yarding your sheep the day before shedding\nSeparate individual fleeces after shearing\, using newspaper\, frost cloth or sheets\nLearn how to skirt\, weigh\, and clean your fleeces ready for showing\, selling or your own crafting.\n\nOur members have a wealth of knowledge\, and will offer hands-on teaching. Find out what a judge or customer is looking for. \nYou may bring up to two of your own up to fleeces to be shown how to handle them.
