Events for 2008
Field Day - conference reports 25 May 2008, 11.30am, Karen and Leo Ponsonby's home
As well as being a report back session from the Conference, we will be viewing fleeces and sheep. It is hoped that we can also arrange a vet to come and talk about animal health.
Photographing Sheep 22 June 2008, 11.30am, Ashburton
A speaker is being organised to discuss the best way to get good pictures of sheep
Field Day - shearing and wool skirting 20 July 2008, 11.30am, Karen and Leo Ponsonby's, Burnham
Bring a plate of food for a shared lunch. Later we will watch a sheep being shorn, discuss what to look for in a shearer and then have demonstrations on how to skirt a fleece.
Field Day - visit to a wheelwright 24 Aug 2008, 1.30pm, Location to be confirmed - south of Templeton.

Small Farm Day 05 Oct 2008, Rangiora
We aim to have a stall promoting BCSBA at this Small Farm Day
Field Day - wool crafts 11 Oct 2008, 11.30am, Margaret and Jim Stewart's farm, Rakaia
A number of wool crafts - spinning, weaving, felt making - will be demonstrated and anyone can have a go.
Christmas barbeque 07 Dec 2008, 2.30pm onwards, Leo and Karen Ponsonby's
